Picnic at Hanging Rock

Pretty great scenery, but not sure why this one is as revered as it is. Was bored through most of the first half and only slightly more engaged in the second. Im glad I saw it since Peter Weir is a favorite of mine, but not one I'll see again

This was very much not the type of horror film I would usually enjoy, but something about the way this one was done just worked really well for me - the acting was great from basically all of the lead cast and I found the writing to be really harrowing and effective as well - the “horror” elements built tension and mystery in a really awesome way as well

Although the outcome of the missing girls can be frustrating, and you may have more questions than answers, this film has enough atmosphere, intrigue, and mystery to keep you invested.
