Blue Velvet

i understand its a david lynch film, but these types of films really dont sit well with me. they just threw away the ear plot not even a third of the way into the movie. rape scenes are too much for me in any movie. it was my main problem with A Clockwork Orange as well

Probably didn’t get a lot of it since this is my first Lynch film, but I really did not like this at all and thought most of the performances were terrible :/

I think I’ll need a rewatch, but overall I loved the metaphors Lynch uses in Blue Velvet — you can see many of them later in Twin Peaks. He was truly a mastermind. 🌹💙

Hard watch, but thrilling and engaging, not to mention super depressing.

I blame the song “Slumber Party” by Brigitte Calls Me Baby for giving me the idea to watch this film. Other than a young beautiful Laura Dern, I didn’t like a thing about this! I was just bored through this. I just don’t get the hype. I will never watch this film again.

10/10 Disturbing in the most necessary way possible. You may not be ready for this film so be cautious, I love the mystery and unique characters they fit the story perfectly which is very well written and directed by David Lynch. Beautiful soundtrack, amazing acting. Great film.
