Blue Velvet

i understand its a david lynch film, but these types of films really dont sit well with me. they just threw away the ear plot not even a third of the way into the movie. rape scenes are too much for me in any movie. it was my main problem with A Clockwork Orange as well

Probably didn’t get a lot of it since this is my first Lynch film, but I really did not like this at all and thought most of the performances were terrible :/

I think I’ll need a rewatch, but overall I loved the metaphors Lynch uses in Blue Velvet — you can see many of them later in Twin Peaks. He was truly a mastermind. 🌹💙

Be prepared for raping

…I don’t get it. Alot of people say this is were you start but imo what I’ve heard lynch is good at. None of this movie commits far enough to anything it’s a predictable mystery it’s almost not weird at all and it’s boring when it comes to a crime movie. 6/10
