A rewatch and it's getting even more amazing. One of the most powerful performances of all time, also has some of the best scenes in history.
Will probably change to love later. 4/5

Visceral, intense and graphic filmmaking. Youre right there with the characters during all the mayhem and you feel all and every emotion. Unmatched atmosphere and an understated but great score. Isabelle Adjani gives perhaps one of the best performances of all time, she’s amazing

Do not watch this movie with earbuds… or while eating. I had a lot of thoughts after this movie that I'm not even sure how to put into a review? It certainly leaves you with a lot of questions. The acting is phenomenal. The two main actors did a terrific job of displaying rage and gradual dissent into madness. When Mark physically abused Anna, I thought that would be the worst part but it wasn't. By a long shot… and just when you think things get crazy they get even crazier. My jaw dropped until it completely fell off. At some point I just thought - what is even going on? 😭 And then when the creature appeared I reread the plot. And then I lost the plot.. it's a weird movie but still enjoyable and even amusing at times. Everyone had this crazy intense chemistry with each other which I kept noticing…
