Out of Africa

This movie is overly sentimental and not interesting. At all. How is this a Redford and Steep movie? What happened there. Why do people like this movie?

Africa looks beautiful, unfortunately the movie is about boring privileged white colonists

from reading some reviews, i thought i was going into some great, based on a real story, romance (especially after seeing this won an oscar) but in reality it felt like a movie about a situationship that didn’t move me.

i did enjoy meryl streep’s character, Karen and her personal arc with her farm, but that was about it

kinda bummed, i was hoping to really like this

40 years later still very watchable
