Great concept but an extremely disappointing execution.

5/10 the acting was great, and the story was pretty good up until the end. but the reason its a meh is bc they needed to explain why they were stuck there in the first place and what that monster is. im not gonna rewatch bc its only decent if you dont know whats gonna happen. 🤷‍♀️

There was just no rhyme or reason to anything, no backstory or explanation was given. They never had a chance at getting out. It felt like the entire movie was pointless and my first thought when it ended was “why did I watch this.” 3/10

Very weird movie it wasn’t bad but just very odd.

forever in the climax of the story

this movies concept is very good, but it fails to hit the mark on several levels. there are many parts in the movie where something great could happen with the tense situation, but it never really does. This movie is a big tease and it feels like you are never satisfied with it.

it was overall good, fairly slow, but the slowness definitely added onto the eeriness of the entire film. i think it’s a one-time watch type of movie primarily because it’s meant to be unpredictable. in the end i give it a 6/10

Based on brood parasitism- where it seems aliens leave their young with unwilling human couples. As time passes the alien begins to learn to mimic these humans and are then sent out into the world to bring new unsuspected parents in to repeat the process.

7.8/10 i have never found myself with a more appropriate reason to say what the actual fuck until now. the amount of metaphors in this movie are fucking insane and i will never recover from the damage it has done to me

the idea was great but the execution wasn’t the best

The only reason why I’m disappointed is because it could’ve been better. I really wanted to like it. It had a good foundation, but it needed to be enhanced.
The movie was odd. Sometimes it didn’t make sense. It could’ve explained some scenes a bit better and scarier. 5.5-6/10

Very eerie watch. Acting was good. It’s a slow burn, doesn’t delve too much into the darkness/lore of the concept, and I wonder how it would’ve turned out if it did. Relied on the suspense too keep me curious and focused. It worked, but I think just once. 7/10

holy fuck this movie was something. Incredibly unnerving and equally disturbing.

I enjoyed this. The concept was great and I’ll love anything with Jesse Eisenberg in it, however this just felt as if it was lacking and left me wanting more.

This movie was shit. My cousin and I were so hyped to watch and it was a let down. Don’t waste your time
