The Toxic Avenger Unrated

I’ve never seen the original, but I bet it wasn’t filled with annoying self-aware “look how bad this movie is” kind of humor 5/10

Very very fun, definitely a more approachable Troma offering but with a lot of what classic Troma has to offer. Cool practicals, cool gore, pacing in the first act could’ve been better but it was a good time and I’m glad we caught it in theatres. Love that they cancelled medical debt as part of the marketing campaign.

What did I just witness? I appreciate what they were going for and see the cult following behind Troma, but I don't think it's for me. A fun yet random cast and a meaningful yet odd story. I wasn't into the humour, gore, or music, but like I said, I somewhat appreciate it. I would have given this a harsh 3/10, but production-wise, I love seeing the experimentation with the makeup, design, and set pieces.

This movie is so stupid omg… but I love it 😭 + Adam Cesare wrote the novelization like cmon now ofc I love it 8/10

this movie was so hilarious and ridiculously unexpected - the cast was so random and actually meshed together super well - the action is exciting and rlly gory but this whole thing was a super fun experience
