My main gripe is that I don’t like the little girls face, it pisses me off. Regardless it was decent, but I much, much prefer the first half.

1st half was creative and stylish, second half dropped that completely and that ruins it for me. First half was visually amazing &unique

'Léon: The Professional', but sprinkled with a whole lot of fantasy. I was expecting something generic and cheap but was pleasantly surprised by what Fuller did here. From the directing, writing, and production to the acting, designs, and soundtrack. Mikkelsen, Weaver, Dastmalchian, Atim, and even the little girl were all utilised brilliantly. The humour was refreshingly good, and so was the pacing. I loved how balanced the R rating felt too. It’s definitely a little scary for kids, but I’m sure they’d get through it fine. It’s a plus for the adults in the room, for sure.

Tried to combine bed time stories with an action movie and it just turned into a boring sloppy mess.

About what I expected. Leon the Professional meets Sucker Punch.

Throws you right into the world— production design screams Fuller. Cast is fine, all live generally in the same world. Not especially memorable but a fun watch, especially if you’re getting baked and don’t mind the weirdly juxtaposed vibes of family fantasy and horror thriller. Very comic booky, I think the point was somewhat clear by the end but prob wouldn’t watch twice.
