I have no words other than black women are truly amazing. This is history!!. What a movie and what a production. I literally cried at the strength of these women. Black women are strong and undefeated. No one compares. Tyler Perry did an amazing job with this.

What a remarkable movie what a remarkable story. I keep saying this about mr Perry he will tell u a story THAT HAS NOT BEEN TOLD!! What a film absolutely incredible. And incredible actors. Kerry Washington never fails to act her heart OUT ! Exemplary

i have never cried so much for a movie. This movie truly encapsulates the struggles of black women during the war! I'm pleased that there were no white saviors and the lovely ladies did it all by themselves, like they did during their service!

I’ve never cried so much, it’s disgusting that they are not mentioned more these women are an example for everyone.

First of all, the excerpt from Lina at the end, was beyond emotional and beautiful. The memoriam of the women at the end was also so special.
This movie shows such an important part of our history, thank god for those women.
Charity Adams was such an amazing woman.

wow. wow. wow. i’m shocked to say i have a favorite tyler perry movie. i was hesitant watching this for many reasons, but im so happy i did. this story is so important to me and the epilogue made me cry so hard i got dizzy

I will not lie: I cried during this movie. It gives such an honest view of the harsh reality for this soldiers. They were completely put aside due to being black women but they conquer it all. They are the reason the soldiers continue to fight: they gave more than letters.

An amazing and inspiring story. I grieve that this is the way our country treated people based purely on the color of their skin. But these women were amazing and I’m glad their story was told.

As far as the film goes, I struggled with the script, the acting felt disingenuous and the editing was sub par. It felt like a low-budget film that actually had a fairly big budget.

So frustrating to watch. We need this kind of movie to remember everyone how it was, not so long ago. Thank to these women who paved the way.
