A reverse slow burn:
The climax happened at the beginning of the movie and we see a rejection of the traditional Robin Hood story in place of a much darker one.
The violence was brutal and the themes were intense.
Not really an action adventure although that’s kinda how it begins.
More of a character drama.
Hugh Jackman absolutely killed it.
The ending completely rejects the Hollywood version of Robin Hood.
I really enjoyed this film but it might be a little slow for some.

I briefly watched the trailer. Different take on Robin Hood. Poetic & philosophical. The cinematography & acting were great, but the pacing was too slow for me. There were more violent scenes than I expected. Appreciated the time, but I wouldn’t pick this movie up again
