I like how this noir thriller was much harsher than other films that came out around the same time. It's not a favorite of mine in the genre, but more intense scenes make it stand out.

Fun mystery with lots of interesting twists and turns, classic noir

👍👍 Finely crafted Fritz Lang noir as Glenn Ford provides a fine performance as an interesting rogue cop untangling a web of corruption and lies.  Intrigue is developed expertly, and usage of locations that are frequently re-visited adds a lot of impact. Not a minute wasted.
