this film was just very uneventful. for me, older horror movies (<1960) are far less enjoyable than modern horror movies.

It’s good. Unfortunately I really enjoyed the drama aspects of it more than the horror (hard to buy into with the way the kills are shot). But I can really respect the importance of the film and how it has impacted horror and film in general for decades after. Perkins gives an incredible performance that is both so charming and deeply unsettling. It’s good, I just wish I was a little more scared while watching.
