this film was just very uneventful. for me, older horror movies (<1960) are far less enjoyable than modern horror movies.

This must’ve been insane to see in the 60s. Amazing film but a bit lackluster in effects and some not so great acting at times. However most of the acting was excellent especially Anthony Perkins. The cinematography was a masterclass and definitely still holds up today. Some of the angles and panning shots were done stunningly well. I went in to this pretty blind but saw the twist pretty early on (partially because of the lack of effects). Overall a must watch for any horror fanatics or cinephiles interested in the roots of film.
