I enjoyed the plot, setting, and music in the film. I also liked the ending because it was not something that I was expecting when dealing with a character who was depicted as a neutral cynic. I liked the interesting theme about the difficulty of neutrality during war and in love

I understand it's a classic and it was one of the best of its time, but it's just not my style. Just bc it is 80 years old doesn't change the fact that its stale and boring.
