The Ballad of Wallis Island

Such a great watch. Equal parts charmingly funny and moving, this film really hit me in a way I didn’t expect. From the absolutely killer soundtrack to the superb performances, I loved every moment. It was sweet, sad, longing, hopeful, and every other adjective you could read about a good indie movie.

It reminded me a lot of The Holdovers in that it was so comforting and original. Can’t recommend enough.

Kinda dope. Really slow but if you’re committed it’s a fun watch. Loved Tim Key from taskmaster and he was clever funny in this. Not sure what the overall lesson of the movie was because it was hours 6-8 on a 10 hour flight. Still processing

This was an amazing movie. Touching, engaging and absolutely funny.
