Felt like a combination of Turning Red and some weird Dreamworks retaliation against the Little Mermaid. Decent one time watch but I feel like they gave it all away in the trailer.

With a clunky plot, lackluster third act battle, and a “twist villain” that was revealed in the trailer, the film came out very boring.

Why did I watch this

it was cute, little underwhelming and boring at times but still really good. i personally like that it’s something new and different than just a typical kids movie. loved the ending and soundtrack especially blackpinks song🫠

It was pretty okay, better than a meh. Far from a brilliant animated classic, but plays it pretty safe throughout. Personally, I think Will Forte as the angry sea captain was the best part. Won’t crack any top ten lists.

Super cute movie. Lots of funny parts! Great soundtrack. Definitely see this movie! Another great Dreamworks movie!

A fusion of Turning Red and Luca. It is the typical animated movie about a teenager who wants to live like everyone else but cannot because of certain restrictions imposed by her family.

She discovers that she is not as ordinary as she thought and has special powers. She disobeys her mother and becomes friends with an enemy of the family. The grandmother, mother, and daughter fight against the enemy, and in the end, everyone lives happily ever after.

It is a very repetitive and unoriginal story. The dialogue and the plot are boring. The only redeeming aspects were the animation and the fact that, at times, it was entertaining, but that was about it.

I like the animation style and all but idk it didn’t stand out to me. It was like REALLY random and I just don’t like sirens and stuff like that. I watched mostly because I heard that Salish was in it, but this is a good kids movie.(maybe why it’s not for me)
