Ruby Gillman, Teenage Kraken

Felt like a combination of Turning Red and some weird Dreamworks retaliation against the Little Mermaid. Decent one time watch but I feel like they gave it all away in the trailer.

With a clunky plot, lackluster third act battle, and a “twist villain” that was revealed in the trailer, the film came out very boring.

I feel like the movie was rushed, the chracters had some potential but it was never used. Designs are okay, but the story is just too bland to be captivating in any way.

I really liked the details in the animation and the pace overall. Some moments were a little boring or predictable if you so will, but the movie was pretty enjoyable overall.
