Ruby Gillman, Teenage Kraken

Felt like a combination of Turning Red and some weird Dreamworks retaliation against the Little Mermaid. Decent one time watch but I feel like they gave it all away in the trailer.

With a clunky plot, lackluster third act battle, and a “twist villain” that was revealed in the trailer, the film came out very boring.

Why did I watch this

It was okay

i was essentially just waiting for this to end. its literally the same as every other kids film, weirdo main character who doesnt listen to their mum, almost dies but survives. but at least this one has a kraken! oh and the writers are def millennial trying to be ‘woke’ 5/10

90 minutes I'll never get back.
