i can see why this is nic cage’s favorite film he’s in, it’s such a simple premise that really shines through its character moments and themes, passion and integrity vs making money and societal expectations, isolating yourself from pain/truth, and the acting is just phenomenal

Somehow a dramatic cheesy love romantic movie without a romance and without it being cheesy. If you know what I mean (Probably only I do). Not bad.

Not as good as I thought it would be

Actually kinda better than I anticipated. Performances were fantastic. Story was solid. Very convincing. Felt extremely real and emotional :,)

Slow moving, but the story is good and the movie was well made
