Color Out of Space

Like every other independent Nicolas Cage movie, Nic Cage steals the spotlight. His performance carried me to the end eventually, and into insanity. Speaking of insanity, the visuals were amazing although it was starved of decent screen time. The score was ethereal and was one of the reasons I stayed. My main issue is with the context itself. It's boring and the pacing is horrible, with barely anything happening. It needed to remain short, like the story. The mystery and creepiness create tension but it goes on for too long, so I lost interest.

This movie needs the cinema experience, if you can replicate that at home do it by all means. Watching it during the day on an ipad, no headphones like i did, certainly affect the delivery of the movie, and you’ll end up not fully loving it, even tho it’s your type of weird.
