Color Out of Space

Like every other independent Nicolas Cage movie, Nic Cage steals the spotlight. His performance carried me to the end eventually, and into insanity. Speaking of insanity, the visuals were amazing although it was starved of decent screen time. The score was ethereal and was one of the reasons I stayed. My main issue is with the context itself. It's boring and the pacing is horrible, with barely anything happening. It needed to remain short, like the story. The mystery and creepiness create tension but it goes on for too long, so I lost interest.

The artistic style of this movie is so much fun. Beautiful use of colors and the characters are pretty good too. Kind of crazy, I don’t think I’ll watch it again necessarily but definitely worth once

Man these types of movies are just weird, gross in a fun way and a minimal plot. But I feel like it needed to have a more serious tone to it to make it a good horror. Everyone pretending everything is fine and acting calm even when someone hurts themselves ruined the suspense for me.

This movie begins calm, cool and collected. Subtle changes begin until all hell breaks loose. Absolutely crazy ending. Amazing how the lighting turned out.
