Here voyeurism itself looks outwards and inwards, confounding perpetrator and victim, filmmaker and viewer, camera and phallic weapon, while observing a pathology as metacinematic as it is psychiatric.

far ahead of its time. one of the first pov serial killer movies! this film really feels like it could be late 60s or early 70s, i can’t believe it was filmed in 1959!!

I see this came out around the same time as Psycho, and this definitely stands on its own. Great performances all around, but the actor who played Mark captured that character perfectly. Most horror/thriller films around that time period don't hold up to today's standards, but this definitely does.
