One of the most bold and creative films of the year. Shows how brutal motherhood can be. Amy Adams is phenomenal in this film

i feel like a lot of people that didn’t get this movie aren’t tired, burnt out stay at home moms. i am, and i felt very seen by this movie. the acting was great, and i personally liked that they didn’t give the characters names because it’s easier to see yourself in the role. the “turning into a dog” aspect that other people seemed not to like… i thought it was more symbolic, not literal. again, i think to get this movie you have to relate with it, and most viewers don’t i guess. i watched this with my husband and he definitely saw parallels between the storyline and our experience as new parents. overall, weird movie in the best way.

this was crazy at first but then it really helps you understand the point of this movie

I found this to be an incredibly honest view of motherhood. The depiction of men being fearful of women because we create life blew my feminist mind.
But despite the above it was still a lighthearted and fun film to watch.
And dogs!!!! I love dogs so they made it a great film!!!

Wth was that. It was so disgusting and the plot wasn’t even good (if there was one) and she kept complaining about her kid but he was the cutest calmest nicest baby and she was the one influencing him into saying bad things. Her cringe ahh really thought she’d be the tuff alpha.
