Don’t trust ppl that dislike this movie

One of the most bold and creative films of the year. Shows how brutal motherhood can be. Amy Adams is phenomenal in this film

i feel like a lot of people that didn’t get this movie aren’t tired, burnt out stay at home moms. i am, and i felt very seen by this movie. the acting was great, and i personally liked that they didn’t give the characters names because it’s easier to see yourself in the role. the “turning into a dog” aspect that other people seemed not to like… i thought it was more symbolic, not literal. again, i think to get this movie you have to relate with it, and most viewers don’t i guess. i watched this with my husband and he definitely saw parallels between the storyline and our experience as new parents. overall, weird movie in the best way.

Weird but good. Personally have never felt this way being postpartum but I guess some moms do

not horror in a sense, but this movie encapsulates my own fears of having children.

I barely watched the movie, it's a women-empowering-like-type-of-movie. It was a bit weird and cringe but that's alright to watch while you do something else (I was crafting a book nook).
