Cozy (good) warm movie. Have always loved, especially that end credits song. The ranch and county feeling of the movie is soft and great, makes me think of the simple life. Reminds me of the country side of the movie, “Interstellar.”

If you don't like movies that make you create your own meaning of the story, it's best to skip out on this one. Personally I thought it was a great allegory for positive masculinity, and also for dealing with grief. I am not religious, but many see it as an allegory for faith.

The ending with the score was some of the best sci-fi I've seen. I love realism within alien ideas. Someone said to 'skip it if you don't like making movies mean something personal', I couldn't agree more. It's some of the weakest I've seen from Jeff Nichols, the plots are bland and usually, I can put the crazy messages behind the scenes. With this I struggled to find something to latch onto, the story seemed generic, the concepts lacked buzz and the pace was almost painful. The last 30 or so minutes changed my mind completely but it still isn't worth the hour of repetitive slow burn. The cast heavy lift a lot.
