Mystery Men

‘Mystery Men’ is a vastly underrated misfit superhero film with a great cast of comedic actors and a bunch of familiar faces. This 1999 movie I find hilarious even today and it’s a shame we never got a sequel. It’s goofy yes, but it’s a ton of fun!

i feel like it had a lot of the building blocks that led to the current state of superhero parodies so it was fun to see how much that genre has evolved

A cult classic with weird charm, Mystery Men pokes fun at superhero tropes through lovable misfits. The cast is strong and the world is distinct. It’s clunky in places, but its heart and originality carry it. A strange, enjoyable ride with a lot of personality & flair.
