Attack the block is a small budget alien invasion feature. I like the use of practical effects on the creatures and the atmosphere feels somewhat 80s. Story and characters are rather straightforward but I can see the effort on the screen. Nothing great but entertaining.

This one was over-hyped for me unfortunately. It’s pretty good, but it was sold to me as one of the best 2000s movies, which is just isn’t. Boyega is awesome and it’s a fun flick, but it’s not a top ten in any category. Check it out, but keep expectations at a reasonable level.
