Intermission

Distinctly Dublin with working class flavor. Intermission intertwines various plots together to create a thrilling interwoven story. Some of the subplots fell a little short, especially the more slapstick crime ones, compared to the more grounded relationship dramas.

6.5

A well done funny dark comedy examining human fallibility & connection. The visual direction (shot on video) has a rough, jagged look to it helping form an intensity at certain moments. The raw appearance fits in with slice-of-life story of it; unexpectedly the ensemble is great.
