my favorite movie ever, family issues and emo paul dano 🫶

i really liked this movie. in fact, it’s one of my comfort movies. i find the movie to be comforting because of the simple message that it conveys. the message that no one is perfect. when watching the movie when sad, the movie doesn’t make you happy, it lets you accept feelings.

nothing could’ve prepared for the events that unfolded in this movie and i LOVEEE it. there’s nothing better than a wtf moment in what’s supposed to be a wholesome movie. each character is so enjoyable, except you know who but he somewhat redeemed himself. overall love it here

despite loving this movie on the first watch, i feel like i got so much more out of this movie on the second watch - truly just a beautiful story about massively contrasting but dynamic family personalities trying to survive together - the acting from literally every actor in the cast is so incredible from paul dano to steve carell, and it’s the first movie i’ve seen toni collette’s character get a happy ending - the ending is so touching it made me cry
