7.6 - I am surprised, but I seem to be in a minority of actually really liking this!

Sure it’s a bit gimmicky, & I wish they went so much bigger with the scares to best utilize Indy’s POV. But the care & time dedicated to pulling this off is felt. The use of the Kuleshov Effect (thanks post film BTS look for teaching me that term!) is really well done to really get the audience in Indy’s head.

Overall, I felt more dread from this than a lot of big studio horror. I really cared for Indy & felt his concern for his owner Todd. I don’t know if I’ll ever revisit this, but I’m very happy I saw it.

Very well shot as well as described through his eyes with such delicacy, it was incredible.

I thought this was so great. I really want more creative alternative pov type horror movies, because this was done really well. Indy is one of the most expressive and photogenic dogs I’ve seen, the scares were dynamic and intense, the story was riveting, and almost had me MAAAAD.

The reason I’m giving this a “meh” rating is because the movie wasn’t scary at all. I can see the monster thing symbolizing Todd’s sickness and imminent death and Indy feeling it too. That’s kind of genius if that was the case.

The concept of the movie is interesting, but I didn't like the story nor the execution of it.

i know that Indy wasn’t trained to do any of those things, but he’s a damn good actor.
