I would have loved it, had it not taken a random,, incest turn? Like they’re not actually siblings but it made it so weird that they were love interests. I guess it is a spoiler that they aren’t siblings, but i honestly feel like that’s necessary context to enjoy the movie

there was so much going on between Umi and Shun, i was a little freaked out at one point, but it was fun

This is one of those rare moments where a studio Ghibli film didn’t resonate with me very much. I loved the gentle animation and nostalgic feel of everyday life. A very straightforward story with frankly, a weak score.
