Friendship

Haven’t laughed that hard in a theatre for a long time. This movie felt like a genre of its own. One of the weirdest, strangest, and hilarious movies I’ve ever seen. It could only be pulled off by Tim Robinson. Everyone involved with this movie licked a toad before filming.

Weirdly funny and entertaining, but the plot runs thin. I had no idea what to expect apart from an unnatural friendship, and that's exactly what you get, albeit underwhelmingly. There are a few outrageous escalations and a few genius jokes, but they play out far too strangely and slowly. I lost interest a couple of times, so all in all, if you're looking for a heartwarmingly calm yet confusingly relatable flick with a decent soundtrack, this would be it. Otherwise, don't expect too much.

awkwardly funny with some hilarious dialogue. the main character is so unlikeable and i understand it was purposefully done. this movie felt like a series of events rather than a proper plot. i was kinda disappointed but also not, just wish it had some wholesome ah moments. (5.2/10)

Am I being gaslit by people enjoying this? Maybe I’m some sort of dickhead but I loathed every moment of this film (minus the toad-trip scene, credit where credit is due), like it’s just so bad - there was nothing though provoking, it didn’t even earn a single laugh. In fact, the funniest part of this film is that I’m meant to believe Kate Mara married Tim Robinson… never even heard of the guy! I Googled and him saw he’s from SNL & NOTHING good comes from SNL, so this all makes a ton of tense.

It was funny. I’d watch again
