Evangelion: 3.0+1.0 Thrice Upon a Time

8/10 A decent conclusion for the series. I do think it’s funny how they name drop Neon Genesis towards the end but I actually didn’t mind the ending. I felt it made sense and that Shinji being able to mature throughout the movie was good character development and him finally being able to have a conversation with his dad. I don’t mind that it’s implied he ended up with Mari I feel like she’s not a bad fit for him at all. It is sad that it seems that he lost the connections with others when he reset the world without Eva’s but it makes sense. I’m sure I’m missing some important stuff but again the Evangelion series does often like to over complicate things lol. Good last film!
