Cult of Chucky

I really appreciate how Cult of Chucky manages to blend horror and thriller elements so effectively. It’s tense, psychological, and unpredictable—exactly what the franchise needed at this point. The concept of multiple Chuckys was a brilliant idea, and I’m glad Don Mancini finally explored it after teasing the possibility back in Child’s Play 3. The twist brought fresh energy to the story and raised the stakes in a unique way. The setting was another standout. The bright white mental hospital was such a smart contrast to the dark, gloomy house from Curse of Chucky. Its clean, sterile look created a false sense of safety that made the horror moments hit even harder. It’s unsettling in a completely different way—like you’re trapped somewhere that’s supposed to be safe but feels deeply wrong. The film’s atmosphere was amplified by its supporting cast of patients, each with their own psychological struggles. Their delusions and fears blurred the line between what was real and what wasn’t, adding mystery and suspense throughout. You’re constantly questioning whether Chucky is truly there or if it’s all in their heads, which gives the film a great psychological edge. Of course, seeing Nica and Andy return was a highlight for me. I genuinely love both of their characters, and it was so satisfying to see their stories continue right after Curse’s cliffhanger—thank goodness for the Chucky TV series for keeping that momentum going. Fiona Dourif once again nails her performance as Nica, and Andy’s involvement ties everything together nicely for longtime fans. The kills, while fewer than in previous entries, were easily some of the most memorable and gruesome in the series. Each one felt deliberate, serving the story rather than just being there for shock value. The combination of creative gore and psychological tension made this installment stand out. Overall, Cult of Chucky is a strong continuation of the franchise—stylish, unsettling, and surprisingly thought-provoking. It expands on the mythology in smart ways while staying true to the series’ roots. I’m excited to finally start the Chucky series. 😁

Back to the nonsense🤦🏽‍♀️🤦🏽‍♀️🤦🏽‍♀️ not irredeemable just incoherent. Like you understand what’s going on but it just seems pointless and silly. I like the stylistic aspects and cinematography, as well as Nika as MC. The 3rd act is pretty good tho!
