(Mini Spoiler near end of review)

I LOVED this military plot line that Andy goes thru. Even though i do wish they would’ve kept the kid actor, the teenager who plays Andy did so well you would’ve thought they were the same person. Probably one of the best scenes in the movie is when Whitehurst jumps on the grenade. Such an emotional scene if you look at it more closely. I didn’t cry, but i did shed a couple tears. Never thought a Chucky movie would do that to me

Child's Play 3

The final chapter of the original Child’s Play trilogy — and honestly, it wasn’t too bad. While I personally prefer Part 2, I actually think this one was still better than the first. There’s a lot to appreciate here: the military school setting, the introduction of new characters, and getting to see an older, more hardened version of Andy Barclay. One of my favorite aspects was Andy’s growth. He’s no longer the naive (and admittedly adorable) little kid being hunted by Chucky — now he’s a teenager, carrying trauma and experience, shifting from the protected to the protector. It’s a natural and satisfying progression for his character. The new characters like De Silva and Tyler were surprisingly likeable. I actually looked them up to see if they ever reappeared later in the series, but sadly they’re never brought back or even mentioned — which feels like a real missed opportunity. A team-up with Andy, De Silva, Tyler, and Kyle? That could’ve been awesome. Maybe one day. The setting itself was unique for the series — the rigid, high-stakes environment of a military academy worked well to add tension. That said, I couldn’t help but question some of the logic… like why on Earth was there a real live grenade in a school full of teenagers? I get that it’s military training, but locking up actual live explosives around reckless teens seems like a recipe for disaster (which, of course, it is in the film). Still, the setting helped the movie stand out. Now that I’ve finished the original trilogy — and already moved on to the next few entries — I do find myself missing the darker, more horror-driven tone of these early films. As fun as Bride of Chucky and Seed of Chucky are, they shift hard into comedy and camp. That has its place, sure, but to me, the horror is essential to what makes this franchise work. I’m here for the scares — not just the jokes. Still, I’m excited to see where things go, especially with Andy returning in later installments and the Chucky TV series. I’m looking forward to seeing how his story continues to unfold.

Child's Play 3

Not as bad as ppl say, has good Chucky moments and a BOMBASTIC final act! The whole military school thing is ULTRA generic but its a decent movie and one of the best in the series. Andy’s actor is terribly mid but its ok
