I want to give this a higher rating, but I think the ending hurt it more than helped it.

Such mixed feelings. As a remake, it is a better film than the original. And so well acted. No fault to the performers. But completely tone deaf to the current era. And perhaps dangerous, since the radical redneck becomes the hero. Frightening for the wrong reasons.

Wait I forgot I watched this it was really really good. Just suspenseful and a good ending=good movie
