Black Bag

10/10 A typical and cool espionage film from Steven Soderbergh, this has that “Ocean’s” feel. A great cast who all light up the screen. Performance are executed with precision and delivered with style. Will be in my re-watch list. A must watch for those Spy fan’s out there.

Black Bag turned Bin Bag. Sonderberg is the definition of hit and miss, and nearly all his films follow that recipe. I love the casting and dialogue, both hit entertainment with such sharp style. Although the characters are mostly boring, I guess spies realistically would be, but I found myself distracted throughout the majority of the runtime. The story feels a little lost too. I'm not sure if it's just bland and underwhelming or complicated and confusing. I enjoyed the 'imposter' trope, though. All in all, it's decent but ultimately forgettable. I doubt I'll be thinking of this in a weeks time.

A refreshing new take on the spy thriller genre.

This film certainly feels more realistic and accurate than most other espionage films. Not to say that I don’t love the amazing action in the Bond films, but this was just a nice change.

Michael and Cate were both terrific.

The story doesn't have any action scenes, yet it's impossible to tear yourself away from the screen. I noticed that all the lights are dazzling and tend to obscure their surroundings; the true nature of each character is hidden in their darker side
The choice of actors is perfect
