The Christophers

Fascinating premise and one of those films I just knew I’d like going into it. So many themes of art, authorship, legacy, and what it means to be a critic. It also has its funny moments alongside its depth.

Not a bad film, just an underwhelming one, similar to the last few Soderbergh projects. If it weren't for Ian McKellen, I doubt I would have finished the entire thing either. There are plenty of messages the film is trying to convey, though it got confusing trying to keep up with what exactly. The tone feels inconsistent, as I couldn't tell what kind of film it was trying to be. All in all, there's definitely a story, just told a little muddily.
