Witch Hat Atelier Reviews

6/10 Had high expectations going into this with all the hype surrounding it. Really great animation and some really cool moments, and Qifrey is definitely the most interesting character in the series, although it fell a little flat for me.

I had a hard time fully enjoying the rest of the characters. Coco is alright, but I cannot stand the rest of them, unfortunately. I did watch this in the dub, and both Tetia and Richeh’s characters' voices just do not fit well in my opinion. It drove me crazy, and I also was not a big fan of their personalities.

I think I’ll still watch season 2, but it just wasn’t my thing. I think if it focused more on just Coco, Qifrey, and the Brimmed Caps, then it would’ve been way more interesting.

I am absolutely engrossed by this fantastical world of magic and mythical creatures, of hats brimmed and pointed. I was hooked from episode one and somehow every single episode continued to get better as the story progressed and us as viewers in our knowledge of the laws and physics of this spellbinding world. The animation is gorgeous and the art brings the world to life so vividly. Each character has incredible depth. There is so much mystery and countless unanswered questions that it leaves you frustrated with the unknown yet content with new things revealed. If you are a fan of fantasy or even if you’re not, give this show a chance.

One of my new favourites!! I love the magic system and the issues and nuances that surround their witch society. The characters feel real and the animation and score are beautiful. The foreshadowing is great as well. This season my fav character was Richeh 😋

creepy

I do think this one is a bit overrated, however, it still is really good, the animation is phenomenal and it has a few other charming elements, I do think the ending of season one felt random, it’s a great cliffhanger for the end of an episode but not the season, 7.7/10

Has so much potential let’s see how it goes.

I would definitely rewatch.

Sooo gooodd, the magic system, the characters and setting. Can’t believe it ended on a cliffhanger, the manga will definitely be read

Real beauty can’t wait for next episodes I am already reading it’s manga

Really really cute I love the story so far and the art style is adorable
The animation is very good + I love how the characters each have depth
Very unique and well thought out magic system that reminds me a lot of the owl house
Can’t wait for more eps to come out

Waiting for next season/part 2— it’s a calming chill low pace anime

holy peak

Season 1 was amazing! The art and animation is beautiful, with the subtle mysteries throughout the show becoming increasingly intriguing. I want Season 2 to come asap, I can’t wait for the next twist!

S1 - 8/10
Overall: 8/10

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I was never originally planning to watch this but my friend kept bugging me about it so I caved, and I’m happy I did. Very interesting and unique take on anime magic. And a lot of intrigue with the characters and lore and the mystery.
