Rooster

9/10

It's rare yet inevitable, but HBO does actually release some slop sometimes. I don't understand what the story is here, nor do I understand why this is considered one. I was waiting for something to pull me in, but by episode 5, it started feeling more like a chore to complete. Great cast, decent soundtrack, boring characters, soppy emotional cues, and lazy comedy. I know the American education system is mostly just a bunch of theatrics, but somehow, this managed to make it feel both under- and over-exaggerated.

has a great cast who play messy characters and an easy breezy storyline that keeps you interested

need season 2 STAT

Eh.. I am much more interested in all the supporting characters compared to Steve Carrell’s character. It was something to watch when I wanted to play something while feeling non committed. It was easy to pause/turn off this show before the episodes ended 4/10
