True Detective

Only watched the first season because I’ve heard bad things about the second and third. Season One is probably the greatest season of a tv show that I have watched. Mathew McConaughey’s acting is top notch

First season is peak tv. Doesn’t get any better than that. Second season was abysmal, wish I didn’t drag myself through it. I was actually thoroughly surprised by season 3. I thought it returned more in line with Sn 1 and I actually enjoyed it.

Not watching the other seasons cause I’m choosing to trust the masses. Omg I feel like I need to immediately start that over and watch it again just to get all the details I definitely missed and to try to understand what the fuck rust is ever talking about 😭😭. It’s just so damn good though. A culty thriller in the bayou is never not gonna do it for me. Also I’m totally converted I love Mathew McConaughey now he’s amazing. like his acting in the finale??? Hello I was on the edge of my seat for the whole episode Uhg it’s so amazing. I can tell without even watching the other seasons that they should have just left this as a limited series cause it works so well like that. I need ten more Louisiana crime shows with sexy detectives on my desk by Monday.

Just finished my rewatch and I only understand like 30% more but I kinda think that’s the intent. All I know is they both wanted to smash so bad the whole show.
