I mean… reality tv in the early days! I don’t agree with it all but I’m not shocked. I think Julian Michaels just wanted fame and to look good. College me fell for it. She wasn’t qualified. Bob Harper at least shows up on the doc to talk? And Dr. Robert Huizenga seems sweet.

I remember loving the show back in the day. Now watching this documentary, it was so horrible. The way they can treated the contestants how they would shake the camera if they fell or sat down to make it look like they caused earthquakes to make them embarrass themselves and to starve themselves.

It was neither good nor bad, its very sad that people sign up to these kinds of shows, rather than seek advice from a nutritionist or google really and an exercise routine, you do not need to punish yourself to lose weight, its okay to make slow consistent steps.

Watching this back now, it is very eye opening into the lengths in which they would push people so they could win. Huge morality issue on every level. Sad to see so many of the contestants not staying successful after everything they put into the show. The deserved more support.

the irony of bob harper having a heart attack while some of the obese people he’s yelled at for years haven’t had one. jillian michaels scared the dogshit out of me at 6 years old and 20 years later she still has the same effect
