wish it focused more on the victims rather than cheryl considering she wasn’t even a victim. like i understand why they had to talk about it since he was labeled as “the dating show killer” but i would’ve liked more background info about the victims instead of cheryl’s life

Leave it to a woman to truely show how terrifying a serial killer really is. It wasn’t like all these other movies. This one showed how charismatic one can/ has to be to get away with stuff like this. I’ve seen a tons and none have hit me in my core quite like this one.

the way I hated just about every man in this movie lmao. no but seriously, this movie had me so on edge. it's disgusting that this was an actual man, and there are more out there like him. the girl who arrested him was so strong, I don't even know what I'd do in that situation.

As a fan of true crime documentary or based on a true story. And as a fan of Anna Kendrick and so excited for her directorial debut… I wasn’t thrilled with this movie at all. Very on the surface. And I feel like they could have done a better job with casting Rodney.

Chilling, eerie, and well done. Crazy that it’s based on a true story…afterwards I watched a YouTube video of the actual Dating game segment with the killer on it. Scary shit.

A horror that all women can relate to. The movie showed so many things women go through. The frustration of not being taken seriously & the fear of knowing you’re about to be hurt. The ending listing off his murders, the ones he committed while on bail, were frustrating to see.

A bold and unsettling debut from Anna Kendrick!! This film was truly dread-filled with a chilling presence from Daniel Zovatto!! The entire cast is great and the cinematography is simple and sleek. The 1970s California setting is used to great effect in here, the bright vibrancy is juxtaposed by the dark nature of the films titular killer. This film takes a less is more approach which works greatly because while the plot is still shocking it never feels gratuitous or exploitative like most true crime dramatizations. This film speaks volumes to society’s repetitive treatment of women and victims disbelief when reported which is saddening but makes the film more poignant. Women of the Hour is a powerful and chilling reminder that evil has always hid in plain sight but we must always believe victims if we want justice to be served!!

A tough watch and deserves a trigger warning for one graphic depiction of SA and violence but an interesting way to tell this story. Appreciated the non-linear format and the small moments focused on how unsafe women feel in any space.

the NERVES I FELT for her when she was walking to her car 😣😣 … i feel like they could’ve gone more into what was going on with him … also the fact it’s based on a TRUE STORY … i think it was too choppy with the other stories ..

This honestly didn’t do much for me. The last 20 minutes were the best scenes of the entire movie…I wish it gave more background to the victims instead of Cheryl because although she was affected, the runaway and woman who went to police should’ve been the main focus IMO

this was truly fascinating. it definitely took a woman’s eye, Anna Kendrick, to portray how charming serial killers can be. it was absolutely horrifying watching him get away again and again. then when the epilogue starting going, i got chills all over!!

I didn't realize this was a true story until like the last 2 minutes.
A great story overall, they just should've focused more on the survivor who escaped, and that one victim's friend.
Instead, too much attention was given to the show girl who wasn't that imapctful or important.

I wasn't sure about this till it got to the game show scenes with Anna, that's when I knew this outdid my nonexistent expectations. It's not your typical serial killer story because it focuses on the 'issues' rather than the recounting. The non-linear plot points play out scenarios that explain exactly why, what and how. The who, where and when is left for personal research. I loved how straightforward the deaths and dialogue got. It's predictable sure, but once again, outdid my nonexistent expectations. Slow-panned but stylish directing with a clear look into the inequalities and babying society suffers from.

whole thing start to finish was so clearly directed by a woman. so real and raw and made you feel in the moment from the women’s perspectives, no notes

6.5/10 ⭐️.

Oh My God.. It’s truly shocking that you never truly know if you are sat in the same room as a MONSTER.. let alone on a literal Dating show! All performances were great and for this being Anna kendrick’s directing debut.. hands down great 👏🏼

A movie committed to feminist themes rather than focusing on a character’s journey, which is not a bad thing as it’s done so effectively. It’s so unsettling to watch with slick cinematography and a memorable ending sequence. I’m curious of the movie’s intentions of portraying…
