6/10 I honestly wanted to rate this higher. One of those films that leaves you questioning a lot of things throughout and has you all over the place. Was a pretty mellow film that often left me a bit unsure of where it was even going or if there was progress in the story being made. The ending is what saves this movie and makes it worth it. Beautiful animation but still a bit of a slower not quite as exciting movie but a really great ending with a nice message. Actually now that I’m thinking back I’m going to take it down a rating because they did kind of imply that there may have been some romance during the movie just for it to be her grandma lol.

9.0~A beautifully melancholic film that explores loneliness, self-discovery, and healing. Despite a somewhat disappointing twist, its breathtaking visuals, emotional depth, and the haunting bond between Anna and Marnie make it unforgettable. A Masterpiece remains on rewatch.
