Rewatched this, it’s kinda weird and random, but at the same time it was good i wish i could see a number two of this movie tbh

Fucked up

there's definitely a lot to it, but it made me uncomfortable and even a bit disturbed in some bits, i'm not going to lie. there's definitely a lot to analyze and understand about it or whatever. it felt realistic and there was LOTS of second hand embarrassment. i liked it but meh

At times uncomfortable, even disturbing, but I think a very realistic coming-of-age film that explores the struggles of middle school & being the ignored middle child. Dawn’s actress was very good at portraying the awkward, bullied “geek”. Explored lots of different topics.

What is this movie supposed to be? It was all over the place like they tried to make a series into a movie last minute. Not the worst I’ve seen though. I could see how some people may like it. It has a certain dark vibe to it that makes it interesting and, in a way, enjoyable.

Damn this is the bleakest movie on adolescence I’ve ever seen, but it’s good. Poor kid ☹️ Kinda gives the same vibes as Gummo.

Didn’t care for it. maybe it’s for an audience of the same age. had its interesting parts tho so i don’t hate it. 3.5/10.

i don't find this movie THAT weird. it's also hilarious how they capture that we girls think at 10-12 that we can pull 16-18 year olds lmao

Not really a good story line just felt rushed and very long

I was recommended this by someone who said this was one of their favorite movies…I’m a little concerned as to why. I didn’t get it, is it because she’s an outcast? And the young boy is being abusive to her telling her he’s gonna rape and kill her? Didn’t care for it

She’s so me. I wish I watched this before I watched wiener dog cause it makes so much more sense now. I genuinely was like wow I guess Todd solondz just really loves the name dawn 😭😭. Idk why I assumed that before thinking the movies were connected. But anyway this is hilarious and very feel bad uncomfortable times. All of dawn’s fits are so iconic. It’s just great. A cult classic for sure.

this movie was darker than I imagined it would be, in addition to all the awkwardness of middle school. Dawn is true embodiment of middle child middle schooler who just doesn’t fit in. she wholeheartedly deserved a crash-out scene.
