Warcraft

I’m a casual WoW fan but I thoroughly enjoy this movie. The pacing, CGI and acting are wonky at times and you can tell they try and force some fanfare and references, but this is a fun fantasy flick with epic action - especially Orc scenes. I’d gladly watch again and again.

Warcraft has some good moments but mostly it's a huge disappointment.

Never played the game but this is an incredibly immersive movie. It's like a worse version of Guardians of the Galaxy and Lord of the Rings. The SFX and VFX are insane, a lot better than some of the practical work but what makes this amazing is the fantasy of orcs, wizards, kings, and all sorts. I loved the pacing and story, definitely needed an hour more. Acting and dialogue could've been way better. I wasn't expecting a big-budget adaptation of Warcraft but 2016 was a jam-packed and weird year. This managed to slip straight through, not making its audience and losing its sequel, which I hope they end up doing. Ratings might change though as I'm unsure, especially without a sequel.

Great fantasy movie. I have never played the games before, but I can say I’ve enjoyed this movie. There are some pretty great characters and the cgi is not that bad. 8.1/10
