I hoped for a classic Jackie Chan romp, but it quickly devolved into a messy, CGI-heavy spectacle.

The Director’s Eye:
Tong’s bright, sweeping camera work across exotic locations is expansive. Studying these vibrant environments actually gave me fantastic visual inspiration. As a conservative valuing law and order, I loved the straightforward moral compass: duty-bound professionals protecting a family. No cynical anti-heroes, just classic good versus evil. Plus, hearing Jackie Chan sing the theme song adds a fun, nostalgic touch.

The Cuts:
The CGI is atrocious. Relying on fake-looking digital lions and golden cars instead of Chan's legendary practical stunts totally pulled me out. Also, the choppy editing jumps so frantically between countries that the middle section really dragged for me.

Verdict:
A disappointing, CGI-cluttered misfire that wastes its star's talents, despite a solid pro-security message. Skip it.

Favorite Line: “We are Vanguard.”

Every Jackie Chan movie I’ve seen is a 10/10 but this one is by far the most cheesiest movie I’ve ever seen in my life. Whoever is his agent failed on this one 🤦🏽 cause this shit is REALLY HORRIBLE
