TRON: Ares
SO. FUCKING. SEXY.
my eyes had an orgasm.
visuals… absolutely spectacular. obliterates legacy with the cinematography imo. it was immersive as can be. watching this intoxicated would be so fun.
some of the best vfx i have seen this year.
of course i watched the early premiere in IMAX. there’s no better way to absorb the sound and visuals. it’s a must if you want to feel everything this sequel has to offer.
that bike chase sequence tho… watching the cop car get cut in half by a tron bike in the biggest screen possible made me hard.
also the fighter jet sequence… i was geekin
wish they didn’t tease it in the initial trailer… but i guess they had to for the hype.
sound design… so so good. felt every hit. nine inch nails did a phenomenal job on the score. unfortunately it will not surpass daft punk in legacy.
loved how eve was wearing a daft punk shirt when ares was looking through her memories. a splendid touch. made me smile.
storytelling… not so great. felt very shallow. didn’t really get immersed with the characters too. jared & greta’s performance was great, although wish we had some proper character development tbh. arturo castro is funny as fuck. bro made me giggle a few times tho haha.
it’s giving me the same feeling i had with HIM. phenomenal visuals, editing, sfx, vfx, score… but the characters and storytelling falls very far behind.
will definitely rewatch.
most definitely i’m visually satisfied, so i really did love this film. there’s no doubt about that.
may it have been better? yes of course.
overall really enjoyed it tho.

TRON: Ares
They ruined it. The plot’s trash, the music’s lost its soul—it doesn’t sound anything like the Daft Punk originals that actually mattered, music that still sticks tillthis day. Its decent at best.
And don’t even get me started on Jared Leto—the cultist pervert himself. Fifteen years. Fifteen years. For this? They took it from us. They robbed us of something that could’ve been legendary—a sequel worthy of the headlines—and now they want us to be proud of it?
I don’t get it. Why hype people up for fifteen years just to drop garbage like this?
This right here is exactly why people pirate movies. Why so many refuse to pay for cinema tickets anymore. Why streaming sites and bootlegs even exist.
This was my childhood. Now it’s just an unnecessary remake made for shits and giggles—a lifeless cash grab pretending to be a tribute.
We lost something real. They’ll never make that sequel… might as well let SoraAI give us the version we deserved.
The message of this movie is painfully clear: “Sure, you’re being watched by massive AI corporations — but don’t worry, not all AI is bad! Maybe it’ll even save the world!”
Cmon, bruh. Wake tf up. This isn’t optimism — it’s propaganda dressed up as philosophy.
The only thing this movie has going for it are the visuals — glossy, glamorous, and soulless.
It’s wearing the mask of Tron: Legacy — but underneath, it’s just corporate, soulless propaganda disguised as nostalgia.
