Toy Story 5

A lot better than Toy Story 4, but still nowhere near as good as 1, 2, and 3. I'd say I didn't 'love' the film, but I did really like it or at least aspects of it. The focus on Jessie this time around was brilliant. The animation looks incredible, and I really enjoyed the style format shift for the 'play' scenes. The toy vs. tech POV is such a good direction for the franchise. Young or old, it's relevant all the same. The comedy and characters work well enough, although I do wish there was more screen time for the OG gang. All in all, I was expecting a lot worse.

Don’t @ me…

This is the first Toy Story movie that I’ve actually seen fully, from start to finish. And I gotta say, it got to me. I think this one did a great job at blending being for kids and also having a strong message for adults. I know the others have been deemed classics and rightfully so, but this one has a new vibe and a new message that I think will hit a lot of parents right in the face, which is good

Some may say that this sequel was not needed, but I would say that this franchise has still got a lot of heart and passion behind, and I’m really satisfied that a kid’s movie is addressing the issues with kids and tech

There's a folksy charm that's still at the center of the "Toy Story" series, which is now like revisiting an old friend. It's become reflexive of itself and its own themes of hand-crafted value and worth.

Was super cute and made me want to throw my phone into a lake. A bit confused on the whole plot line with the army of Buzzlightyears, but was so cute nonetheless

So unimpressed :( it was all over the place, barely explained anything and half the time I was wondering wtf is going on, every scene was like 5 min max till it switched to the next scene, humor was just not there, and very little nostalgia. Huge bummer

Wow. Didn’t know Pixar had this in them still. Comedy was perfect, call backs to the old movies were amazing, story was great, subplot was awesome. Genuinely do not have a single complaint. (Besides woody still not being back with the gang). The New trio of “toys” was the best

Can we stop making films enabling short attention spans and let scenes breathe again?

7.3/10 Not my favorite Toy Story movie, it was definitely interesting how they built it up from today's modern world with technology.

I didn't feel like bringing the characters back made sense as it also felt there was a lot of lack of connection (pun not intended).

If anything I felt distant with the characters that we loved and they felt even more of a sidelined characters rather than how they first started which felt more like a closer group.

Still they were able to make the art style as close as from the previous movies without loosing the audience. Music was wonderful but lacked emotion.

I did like how they closed Jessie's story arc as it did feel that from her first appearance she felt abandoned all the way up until this point. She was definitely a piggy back to bring this movie come to life to tell the story about technology onto the world.

All in all, it was still enjoyable, still had a couple of tears, but wished there was something more from it.

A significant improvement on 4, but still didn’t have the same feel. I liked how they gave Jessie the reins, but they shouldn’t have pushed Buzz and Woody to the sidelines. They made Toy Story what it is. Felt more like an animated short than a Pixar feature.

This movie was truly special in that things changed, but for the better. Now the main character was Jessie, and I liked that because I felt her story needed more backstory. +

This was the most heartwarming thing to watch especially as a girl mom💕 I can’t wait to watch my little girl play with her toys

Buzz Pasties. Sums it up.

I feel like I watched a different film than the majority of these reviews. The story is all over the place and feels very thrown together. The jokes are cringy. The new characters are weird. It felt like a soulless cash grab. This one’s not for me.

The message of this movie is basically just to keep buying more Disney products. They should have stopped making these after the third.
