this movie suffers greatly from the lack of subtlety, the mystery is done so poorly and the writing is really bad, the only part to enjoy is nicolas cage's performance which is the only reason i watched it, i think he did the best he could

A terrible terrible movie.

Not as bad as people make it out to be but it isn’t a good movie. They made small changes which were unnecessary and took away from the original film. Cage isn’t even that cage in it.I wonder how he would play it now.

Bad ending, predictable. Had some funny moments tho

Fun fact: after I watched this movie as a child I wore turtlenecks for 2 months straight. I don’t know why i did it but I hate myself for it and Bees.

scared the dogshit out of me as a kid, especially the ending. have a feeling the 70’s original version is more f*cked up

The Wicker Man walked so Midsommar could run.

I saw this at the movies & all I can remember, was him punching a woman in the face which was well deserved and laughing at the ending. First time watching since, I couldn’t get past the first 20 min. It’s funny, but it’s not supposed to be.

Nick Cage is a very underrated Scream King, and this is a really fun, quietly terrifying horror. It definitely was the "all women are conspiring against men" version of what later became MUCH better in Midsommar. Also OBSESSED with the ending and the VERY appropriate cameos 😂
