this movie suffers greatly from the lack of subtlety, the mystery is done so poorly and the writing is really bad, the only part to enjoy is nicolas cage's performance which is the only reason i watched it, i think he did the best he could

Wow! I loved Nicholas Cage’s character, and the script was great! I found this movie to be unintentionally hilarious, and it’s definitely one of those “so bad it’s good” type of movies. The ending was depressing, but seeing James Franco was cool. This movie was great, 8.5/10.

the older one is better

This movie is awful but I can't fully hate it because it's so hilariously awful. One of the best unintentional comedies ever made. The most hilarious part is it plays it straight thinking it's saying something profound and unique. A disaster piece that sticks with you.
