The Poughkeepsie Tapes

Genuinely the most disturbing movie i’ve ever seen. I don’t get scared easily at all, I will turn on american horror story to sleep, but the first time i watched this i couldn’t sleep till the sun came up and i didn’t sleep well for weeks later.

Watched this with an old roommate and it left us feeling like we need showers

Don’t know if I’d ever have a reason to rewatch this movie considering its not the best movie and its mostly just gross-out snuff styled stuff and children kidnappings

Worth a one time view though

Honestly had me shook when I was done watching. Keeps you at the edge of ur seat throughout the movie. It didn’t leave me as disturbed as others but I do think abt here and there. It’s def a watch one time type of movie. Overall it’s a good 9/10.

Scary

It was alright, nothing super notable. It’s hard to even form an opinion on it. Some scenes were pretty well made and disturbing, but it definitely falls short in some aspects. The ending was very interesting though.

TWS:

Light gore, SA, child death and abuse

4/5
