The Neon Demon

Very deep - cinematic - creative physchological. There’s two ways can look at it but all will digest the same, really makes you think and grip onto what trying to say.

Like a lot of Refn’s work, this is hypnotic and captivating. Even at its slow points, the visuals are so strong, it’s hard to look away. That said, it’s thematically very messy. A movie about the evils of the fashion world and your villain is a predatory lesbian? Really?

can’t believe they wasted elle fanning, jenna malone, and keanu reeves on this. toothless movie that says nothing new with an even more hollow script. it gets lost in itself. 2010s tumblrina, suspiria wannabe, 2001 space odyssey “look at my cool shots!!” waste of time

I was enjoying it, the events, interesting, reminds me more of an indie film more than anything. Its a watch for the art of the film, kind of an American Horror Story vibe.

the music and colors and visuals are SO GOOD. omfg. i could snort them. but it was a bit too slow and the acting was a bit dry. otherwise a pretty good movie. very uncomfortable and disturbing (just the way i like it😋)
