Very deep - cinematic - creative physchological. There’s two ways can look at it but all will digest the same, really makes you think and grip onto what trying to say.

Everything feels strange and off-putting—unclear if that vibe was intentional or a happy accident. Visually stunning with sharp editing and cinematography. Then they jump my girl Elle Fanning! Anya Taylor-Joy shines as Jesse. Seems to hint women can be predators too.

Like a lot of Refn’s work, this is hypnotic and captivating. Even at its slow points, the visuals are so strong, it’s hard to look away. That said, it’s thematically very messy. A movie about the evils of the fashion world and your villain is a predatory lesbian? Really?

It’s a beautifully shot film about beautiful people with an LA landscape, but it has zero depth…shocker.
