The Mothman Prophecies Reviews

I remember being too scared to watch this when I was a kid. Not scary but a little creepy and interesting

MOTHMAN! i’m going to the mothman festival this weekend so i needed to get more familiar with the lore. this was a great film to start with. it’s spooky & interesting & definitely makes you want to learn more about the mothman

Mothmaaannn 🤤😋
I want to move to point pleasant west virginia simply cause it’s mothman’s birth town

I fell asleep 4 different times trying to watch this

8/10 wish there were more like this

C

enjoyed it while i watched it but i will likely never even think of this movie again. creepier than silent hill which is a compliment to this movie and a dig at silent hill. 6/10.

A good thriller with a legend/premonition component. Drags a little in the middle but still worth a watch

Way, way more unsettling than I expected. Really changed a lot from the book, but that’s ok because it was an engaging watch

Couldn’t get through it tbh

How is a movie about Mothman this boring. Two (2!) hours of long silences, people saying they saw something weird, and Richard Gere talking about his wife. It’s painful and way too long. It has almost nothing to do with cryptids. You see Mothman ONCE.

That being said, Laura Linney EATS in this role. The only thing that kept me watching.

Too much about prophecies and not enough about Mothman for my liking.

definitely had some creepy parts and some slow parts but overall good and well made considering it was the early 2000s + extra creepy cus it’s based off a true story !!

It isn't a bad movie. Detective movies just don't keep me interested. Worth a watch though.

A psychological masterpiece that blends mystery, loss, and paranoia into something mesmerizing. The cold atmosphere & muted visuals amplify the loneliness of the characters. It’s not about monsters. It’s about what haunts the human mind. Haunting, poetic, and unforgettable.

Not actually about mothman but very good

Good eerie film with a great lore begind it.

Good psychological turns but why not just make it set at the same time as the true story

Great creepy movie. Cool visuals and story. Kinda like Donnie darko sci fi type movie .
