The Home

Like most people, I watched this for Pete Davidson, and to keep this short, unlike the 9-hour runtime, "The Home" should have stayed home. The engagement level and story are weak and poorly told. The performances are unintentionally comedic. The horror is cringe-worthy. The camerawork and editing don't feel structured. The dialogue is stiff, and the non-existent tension relies on clichés. It feels like one long drawn-out SNL sketch. At least he's guaranteed that Dubai bag?

I was really surprised with this film - it was much better than I was expecting it to be. It’s intriguing and eerie throughout with a strong mysterious vibe. The twist and reveal toward the end is really good and I didn’t see it coming at all. Glad I found this. This is a good watch and I recommend.

Possibly the worst acting I’ve seen all year. Not even Pete Davidson’s charm could save this. Very clunky script, grotesque imagery with no real payoff. Yes the ending is the best part, but it doesn’t even come close to making the film worth while.
